Fuel tank/pump

Guys need some help.
Here is the tank I have.
The motor is a LS3 465 hp.

Should I use a external pump? If so which one. I have something similar now on a 383 with aftermarket injection with no return line and no issues
Or internal....I don't know anything about internal is there a kit that I cut the tank and mount? Not sure how the pump stands up in the tank.
What about flow rate?

Yes you will have to cut the tank if you want a internal pump. Does this tank have the baffels? If not you may want to stick to the inline pump. You don't want to starve the internal pump for gas when low on fuel.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

You need one of these, Call Doc and he will send one out. Tell him Jay said to call. Just a hole saw cut away from an in tank pump.

That would work just fine. I like the internal pump much better than the inline pumps. Just my opinion though!

There is an OEM option. When GM started using plastic tanks, they went with a fuel pump module so they wouldn't need baffles. Basically the pump sits in a cup that is held on the bottom by springs. They come in different heights depending on the depth of the tank. For example, I found one from an 02 Silverado. The module is 15" tall, but it compresses down to 12". And there are others that are shorter. You can find new modules on ebay for less than $100, or look in your local wrecking yards.
