Add me to the list. I have the basic info already but finding the specific struts was problematic. Got some different units for free but I feel they'll be 'too much' (they were for a rear Tahoe hatch).

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Now are the gas shocks going to supply any more lifting power than the factory spring hinges?

Oh yeah they will lift the hood just fine, infact it is a good idea to keep the palm of your hand on top of the hood when opening so you can control how fast the hood will lift.

Re: EMS Billet or Siscos Hood Hinges - Any pictures installed?

Installed my hood strut kit last night. EZ PZ install. Took me about an hour. I was also aligning my hood & latch set-up during the install as it has been off for a while after the motor swap. If everything had been already aligned, I prob would have gotten it done a little quicker.

Excellent alternative for those that can't utilize OE hinge springs on their 81-87/81-91 trucks/blazers/burbs....

That's the WAMRODS kit. It the same one I have had on my truck for 5 years with no issues. Good cheap alternative to factory. But will work with what ever drop you are running and whatever custom inner fender you are using also.

They're just some old aftermarket 16" 'star' wheels (Prime or Eagle maybe?) w/a lug cover. I just DA'd the snot out of the fronts to remove some nasty road rash & then used progressively higher grade paper. They just have a scotch-brite finish @ this point.

Re: EMS Billet or Siscos Hood Hinges - Any pictures installed?

See, sometimes people can start something. I never heard about these hinges before this thread and saw a pair and nothing could stop me from grabbing a pair...

Now I need to find a straight hood to go with them
