I know one of the vacuum lines is timed I think this is for the distributor and the other constant after setting it up I noticed my aircon is not working now I connected the vac lines from the ball type item on my left side fire wall (looking in to the bay) to the constant vac outlet and the dissy to the timed is this correct the air con worked well before the swap so have I put the vac lines in the wrong place any help would be great |

Re: setting up the edelbrock
Look at the ports. Notice one is higher than the other. The lower one (driver side) is below the throttle plates. That port is constant vacuum. The other port (passenger) is above the plates. It's ported vacuum. Use the port vacuum side for timing. I'll have to check my setup on how I connected the vent line. I think used the intake port behind the carb.

Re: setting up the edelbrock
Which Edelbrock did you bolt on? Did it not come with an installation instruction sheet?
This may help: |

Re: setting up the edelbrock
It's not that I didn't get instructions my concern is that I ave the vacum air on controls to the correct connection to ensure proper function the instructions do not give details on where to connect the control vacumm lines
Thanks for the diagram it all helps |

Re: setting up the edelbrock
Usually the vacuum ball is hooked to manifold vacuum or some rear Quadrajet port. Edelbrock carbs don't have vacuum ports in the rear so just find a constant vacuum source for the vacuum ball. Most engines seem to run better with the dist hooked up to full time vacuum too.
