Braide lines off the master cylinder....help please...?

Want to run braided lines of my master cylinder and T up somewhere below the firewall on the frame or close by.

I'm looking for pics here,who sells it and length's.


I'm running a CPP master with a 8" booster.


I'd appreciate the help.

Ideally you should limit flex lines of any type to just the key points on the suspension, for movement. Everything else should be hard line. Too much flex line in the system and it can cause a soft/spongy pedal. Just make up your own hard lines. It's not that hard to do.

Thanks Mike,I was wondering about that.I have only seen lines run this way on the one truck in the pic.Ok for show maybe,but makes good sense not to!

You can use lines made for motorcycles and race cars. Can get them with #3 on both ends and open braid or with a clear cover. Keep em short as you can. I use Earls pre-made hoses and they test them to 4000 psi. Used them on both race cars and custom bikes with great results.

Braided liines are fine> Its the same pressure at the MC as it is at the rubber lines. Dennis Kirk sells all kinds of braided lines and fittings. They even have colored lines.

x2 on the Earl's premade hoses. I bought some of the -03AN lines for my hydraulic clutch conversion. Nice quality and fit.

The few braided lines I've needed I had custom made by House of Hose in Spokane, WA.

Cost has always been roughly 1/3 - 1/2 of what a similar hose costs at Summit, Jegs, etc. Their fittings are also much cheaper than a chain store like Napa. With shipping costs they might not be the best option for everyone, but there may be a custom hose outfit like this in your own community. It might be worth a search before buying out of a catalog.

We had braided lines made locally with 3AN fittings and ran them straight down to a simple bracket on the frame and transitioned them to hard lines...maybe a bit of a compromise but they work well

Hey Mark my x sister-in-law is married to the owners son. I'm hoping to get a good deal on some custom stuff this summer. lol You should see her 69 Camaro. They put around 60k into it. NICE!

I did mine too. I got the idea from looking at my 2004 Chevy Express van. From the factory they use a section of braided SS line for the flex between the body and frame.

The coils typically in the hard lines are to give the line someplace to flex when the body and frame move in relation to each other.




I got the lines and fittings needed to do this from Speedway Motors.

Looks great,nice job on the routing of the lines as well !Do you have a part number by chance ? A pic of where they meet with the hard lines ?
