I need to buy a pair of new fender liners and I am looking for any comments from anyone that has purchased new ones. I want to know if they fit ok and whether anyone has tried the zink coated ones and how they liked them.

Any comments would be appreciated.

I always use genuine GM ones. Of course they fit properly too.

I just bought one for 118 bucks at GM dealer. Aftermarkets are cheaper, but to me, not cheap enough to give them a try.

I bought Goodmark inner fenders and outside fenders and the two don't match up. The several of the holes are way off. And the Large hole that goes from the top of the inner fender to the bottom outside fender is 3/4 off. These problems are the same on both sides. I had FROST 89434 help me and we never were able to correct this problem. I traded the new skins and put in oem skins. The large hole still doesn't line up. I think the problem is in the Fenders. Check out the pic........

It looks as tho there's a slit in that inner...did you have to do that as part of doing your best to improve the fit?

No slit in the fender....must be the angle the pic was taken. It was also dark.

they sell chrome ones.............. they look really nice but i dont know what look your going for. if it were me id try the new zinc coated ones... ive heard the tooling is alot better on the new fenders but on the inners i dont know... ask the vendors... some of them compare this stuff.

We have never had a complaint on our inner fenders from customers or had any problems with them in the shop but we don't sell goodmark products.

Hey Jim, I just installed two new Tri-Plus inner fenders in my son's truck before Christmas. we did get all the bolts in them on both sides a couple was tough getting started but we started them all before we tightened them down. The Goodmark innerfenders do not weigh as much as the Tri-Plus but neither does GM inners they are also lighter that Tri-Plus also. I am working on your e-mail and will send it in a little while. i put a good mark right side inner fender and core support in mine.

the good mark core support was ok, no problems with it, but the right side inner fender (goodmark) didn't line up with the core support (goodmark) or with the fender very well.

i had to redrill about 5 holes on the new inner fender, and then also contour the lip of the inner fender becayse it was too long.

it took me about 3 hours to install the right side (goodmark) inner fender and about 20-30 minitues to install the left side inner fender (OEM reused GM)

if i was to do it again i would definately use the GM inner fenders
they don't cost much more than the aftermarket.

Thanks for the replies. I think that I will stay away from Goodmark. It sounds like there are good repros available. I know that there is some pulling and tugging that usually has to be done, but Tommie's experience is pretty telling as I have never had to drill any holes in the used fender liners that I have installed.

There just is not any good used liners left in Michigan!

We have a TRI PLUS 80.00 inner fender sitting next to a GM NOS 139.00 fender in our shop and the only way to tell them apart is the better less wrinkled stamping and heavier gauge metal on the TRI PLUS. The only part I have seen from TRI PLUS that is not quite up to GM NOS is the full door skins, but the average truck owner would never notice the difference between them after they are installed.
