Body Lift
Hello again, I am planning on lifting my 72 about 4". But I found a body lift alot cheaper than buying a brand new skyjacker or roughcountry. Which are good lift kits dont get me wrong just dont have that kind of money. Would I have to change or alter anything if I install just a 3" body lift.

Re: Body Lift
I would never run a 3" body lift. The larger the gap between the frame and the body, the more stress on the mounts. I have a 1" lift that gives that little extra tire clearane and helps clear exhaust, PS hoses and things like that.
here is a link to some general instructions... http://static.summitracing.com/globa...um-7852300.pdf What I used was a rear flip kit to gain 4" rear lift with stock rear springs.... http://diy4x.com/cart/index.php?rout...product_id=112 |

Re: Body Lift
I would never run a body lift at all , you can find a used lift kit or save your money and wait to put a correct lift on your truck. you will be happier in the end . Just my 02 cents Jim
