Car steering column in a truck?

Will a 63 Impala steering column fit into a 60 Apache? Found an original tilt column in a junkyard from a 63 Impala. Just curious.

Re: Car steering column in a truck?

I don't know I have a 78 impala tilt in my 63 and my 64 has a tilt
if i had t do it all over I would not put in a tilt Never use it most time set straight and left that way
It is nice to move the HI beams to the colum stead of floor button
.

That depends on whether you have the skills to make the mods necessary to make it work. I would say that it should be easier than some columns since is is very close in years. But it will still not be a direct bolt/plug in.

I like the fact that it looks like the original.
