OK. Looking for suspension/lowering advice and opinions.
Alright, here's the story... I've swapped the CPP 1" lowering springs for new Moog standard duty stock height springs in the front and CPP 5" lowering springs for ECE 4" lowering springs in the back. I did all of this to try to solve the way this truck rode when I bought it... My problem(s) now are that the front seems to be too bouncy compared to the rear like the springs aren't strong enough and the ECE springs lifted the back up quite a bit more than I thought they would. A lot more than 1" in my opinion. My question is: Do I put heavy duty springs in the front and/or swap out for some 5" ECE springs to level it back out and fix the bouncy front end? The truck has a 350 in it and is a long bed. Its also got 2.5" drop spindles in the front. I'm trying not to spend a ton more money than I already have and I'd like to keep it low but relatively level.

Here's my input. "bouncy" is all about the shocks, not the springs. You're coming at this from the wrong direction. Ride control is shocks, which should be matched with the spring (rate). Also, I believe drop measurments across manufactures do not work. 1'' to CPP dosn't seem to be the same as 1" to ECE.
So, did you have the CPP shocks on the front with the CPP 1" springs? |

Re: OK. Looking for suspension/lowering advice and opinions.
I did have CPP springs and shocks all the way around, but the ride was terrible. Mostly due to the rear axle smacking the bump stops constantly. The front wasn't great either though. Now I've got all new KYB shocks all the way around. They are the "stock replacement" ones that ECE also happens to sell and recommend. I feel like the spring rates may not be "matched" or something...

Anyone else? Would HD springs solve my problems or is it right and I just need to lower the rear back down an inch or so?
