NOS 12 bolt Hickey diff cover and matching (non Hickey) Dana 44 cover

Despite the 4" lift on my Blazer the rear Hickey tank won't clear the NOS Hickey diff cover Didn't learn this until after the Dana 44 cover was on (no oil added). The Hickey cover was NOT mounted and the front cover is as close of a match to a Hickey Dana 44 cover as you'll find and it's US made (http://www.yourcovers.com/diffcover_6057.php) but pricey. Have stainless allen bolts/washers to install these. Just looking to recoup my expense. $410 shipped in CONUS. Thanks, Pete

PLEASE REPLY TO THE MATCHING THREAD HERE: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=626695 ON THE TRUCK PARTS BOARD TO AVOID CONFUSION - THANKS!

Deadhead -

Not to rub salt in your wounds, but the Hickey catalogue actually points this conflict out. I loved the look of my rear cover so much that I actually had my Hickey fuel tank modified to clear the diff cover. Had 2 inches removed from the rear surfaces of the tank so I could slide it back. That diff cover is just too *****in not to run!

No worries - I knew that but like an idiot I thought the 4" lift would give me the clearance I needed. Was close but wrong. Doh! If no takers I'll find another K5 to use these on...
