High mount sanden 508 fittings

Hi All,
There seems to be a lot of options for fittings for the sanden compressor, some cheap and some expensive. I was wondering which fittings everyone has used to connect the hoses to the compressor on a squarebody truck?

Thanks for any help.

Just go by a AC shop and let them make them up for you. That's what I did, they charged me like $25.00 to do them.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: High mount sanden 508 fittings

Thanks for the replies guys, just wasn't sure if I had to supply the fitting or if the A/C shop would have them on hand. Now I have to find an AC shop.

Re: High mount sanden 508 fittings

My A/C shop in Tucson, Century Auto Air conditioning has all the fittings and he had to fab two of them so I could use my existing parts. Air blows cold 20* but summer has not arrived yet!

20*!!!

How does it keep from freezing up? 32* it will start freezing up and locking down the compressor.

Re: High mount sanden 508 fittings

Question, is it fine to put the compressor on with belt and drive to ac shop without it hooked up? Also, I ordered a Vintage Air 04808-VMA from summit which is a sanden 508 style it this going to work? I thought it was an actual sanden compressor until after I ordered it and I just want to make sure it is a good brand.

I no nothing about AC....

Re: High mount sanden 508 fittings

DO NOT hook the power 12VDC to the compressor wire, and it will be OK.

When it starts to get real cold I blend the heat control or turn it off!
I am waiting for next month and all of June when it is over 100* it will never get that cold in a black truck!

As long as you don't power the clutch it's fine. Hook everything up but don't power the clutch with the fan switch.
As far as it being a good brand I can't say but if it's a sanden brand it should be fine.

I used Classic air before the LSx motor swap and was very happy with it.
