Chassis differences ....
My buddy just picked up a 52 Suburban.
He also has a 49 5 window that is down to a bare rolling chassis. Wondering if the frames are the same ?? He would like to build the truck frame, then swap under Burban Thanks

Re: Chassis differences ....
You just posted your question last night. Not everyone is on here all the time. Give it some time bro. Have you searched the forum, or Google?

Re: Chassis differences ....
My bad .... "bro"
I guess I am just used to the 60-66 crowd who respond with lightening speed. As far as search, I rather ask the forum crowd who are typically more hands on that Google. No rush, my question is out there, I am sure I will get a response soon. Thanks for the heads up, Josh

Re: Chassis differences ....
The frames themselves are the same. However there are some Suburban specific brackets that will have to be swapped over. That shouldn't be a major issue though. It has been discussed once or twice before if you do a search on it.

Re: Chassis differences ....
I thought I answered from my phone but apparently I hit the wrong key. The link in my signature will drop you on a 56 book, scroll down to the year index tap, they select the truck years. The books have specific frame information on all models. I can't remember if it shows the mount locations with dims. The factory assembly manual does.

Re: Chassis differences ....
If I remember right the holes are already there in a pickup's frame for the extra brackets.
