Tranny swap
Currently I have a 230 with a granny 4 speed, My question is this will a power glide bolt right up to my 230 or is there something else that needed?

It will bolt up to the 230 but not sure if you want to go that route. A powerglide will have a 1.76 or a 1.82 first gear. So starting off will be close to 3rd gear in the trans you have. A turbo 350 would be a better choice.

They will all bolt up as long as it is a chevy trans. You will need to find one the right length and put a trans cross member in it. Cut out the old cross member behind the engine and figure out a shifter and a cooler.

If you are looking for strength and reliability, a th350 or th400 all day every day over a powerglide. If you want nostalgia, powerglide. They should bolt up no problem, if not gm, then all you need is a new bellhousing and those are relatively inexpensive.
