292 oil pan ???

What, if any, differences are there between 292 oil pans though the years??? IIRC there is a difference between 2wd and 4wd.... also the pans are different between the 292 and other 230's 250's correct?

The 292's oil pan was the same from 63-85. All having the deep rear sump. Capacity of 5 quarts. No difference between the 2 and 4wd models that I'm aware of. The 194-230-250 had a more smoother pan and a 4 quart capacity.

I think there may have also been a few made with 4 quart pans IIRC? I think that there was more than one style made, although I don't know how many there were, or what the differences are. I personally have two styles, one like this;



And another without that clearancing or whatever where the drain plug is, like this:



I'm pretty sure both are 5 quart pans (for a 6 quart total capacity with a 1 quart filter), but I'm not totally sure, as both engines have the dipsticks broken off. I asked about 292 pans a while back on a couple forums, but I never got any replies.
