GMC park light rebuild question.
Just picked up a 55-56 GMC grill and need to do a little rehab on the park lights. It looks like I got two different types, one is a single element and the other is dual. We all know GM was good about using parts on many models and was hoping someone would know a cross reference for these.
Also need the lens mounting screws and a couple of "j-nuts" to mount the mustache. Thanks!

Re: GMC park light rebuild question.
one is just a park light while the other is a park light/turn signal. Unless you are just bent on using those sockets or that type of socket you can probably find some universal park/turn sockets at the parts house that will plug and play with maybe just a little fiddling with them.

Check these guys out for hardware and clips. I think they have electrical pigtails and such too.

Re: GMC park light rebuild question.
I've got 2 on my '55 and 2 spares, all use the 2 contact socket that allows the 1157 type bulb. I can't help with a cross reference of what else may work but I'm sure something is out there. If you found another socket you sould be able to carefully un-crimp it from the bolt bracket and install the 2 contact one. I think the side pin locations are different in those 2 types of bulbs? I had a pair of those lense screws but sent them to BBPanel a month or two ago.
The j-nuts should be found at good hardware stores or where Cape Codder recommended. DAC

Re: GMC park light rebuild question.
A piece of tin foil glued inside the housing will brighten them up if the housings are dull too. Think of shiny reflectors in modern tail lamps.
