Grill Repair???

I scored a used grill shell and inner grill
for my 69 C-10 P/U a week or two ago.
The grill shell is polishing up OK with
some stuff called "Blue Magic". However,
the inner grill (plastic) has some cracks.
I remember as a kid that the plastic model
airplane glue that I used worked really well.
But, you can't get that anymore. I tried some
PVC pipe cement that I got at the home center.
That didn't work either. I even got a "plastic
welding" kit from Harbor Freight. Guess I'm
going to have to practice a lot more to get that
to work!!

Anybody out there successfully repaired
cracks in the inner grill?? What did you use??
