Picture of removable tailgate
I've got an 'old' truck and want to make the tailgate removable.
I appreciate this isn't brain surgery, but don't want to stuff it up either! I can't just pop down the road and find a newer (76 and up?) truck to see where the cut in the tailgate is so was hoping one of you guys could take a photo of the end of your tailgate and enlighten me. I looked on the interwebs and found a picture of the right hand side trunnion, so modified my '72 one to match. So I'm hoping I've got that bit right! So you open the tailgate completely and then lift the right hand end out, or?? Any help would be much appreciated. Oh, pic of my 'new' trunnion-

Re: Picture of removable tailgate
The tailgate slips out on the right side when it's at a 45 and pulls straight out of the left. Of course you need to remove both limit straps first.
