Cigarette lighter removal

How does the cigarette lighter socket get removed from the ashtray door? I found a photo on the web for reference.

Re: Cigarette lighter removal

1. unplug the wiring from it.
2. place your thumb inside the socket and wedge it against fhe sides.
3. grab ahold the back side of the round housingwith tour other hand to hold it steady.
4. using your thumb thats wedged inside, turn the inner section counter-clockwiseto unscrew it from the backside.
