Oh, ok; 12.5" brake rotors on them vs 11" on half tons. I haven't actually tried to check, but I'd be surprised if there was any interchange at all. 3/4 tons were heavier trucks that needed better brakes to begin with.

MC/BB might interchange; not sure on that. I'd bet it's bigger for the larger calipers/brakes (MC, at least).

For the couple dollars it costs, I'd go ahead and buy new stuff. You are looking at what, $60 for new correct calipers and MC? I'm kind of a cheapskate myself, but brakes are kinda important...

That's what I've been reading: drum/drum systems with dual master doesn't require proportioning valve. Well, hope I don't find another undisclosed problem. As I see it, I'm going to replace the plug/grommet at booster and give it a shot. Power brakes would be a nice improvement. Thanks again for tips.

I agree, brakes are pretty important. Just throwing it out there.

The master cylinder and booster would work, you'll just have to drill some holes to bolt up the booster.

The C/K series calipers are designed for a thicker rotor (1.5" IIRC) than what is typically found on a C10.

Calipers still mount in the same way, off tabs on the knuckle or tabs on the spindle. It's just a question of whether or not chevy used the same MC / BB and caliper system or did they have an entirely different system for the Ks I have them sitting around on a K series donor truck I bought for the 350. I think the MC / BB would be the same, I cant see GM having different sytems for every truck series...

Just thought I'd throw the question out there. I havent had time to tear apart that truck yet, still doing cab rust repair

I need to order your power steering bracket too, the 76 has a power steering gear too.
