76 GMC donor truck
Found a '76 longbed parts truck to use as a potential donor for the front disk brake swap. I don't have a truck to use it at this point but would stash it away for a future project. It has Pontiac rally wheels on the front so it must be 5 lug. Engine\trans are gone and the front sheet metal is sitting in the bed. What does it take to pull that cross member out? I don't have a torch here.

Re: 76 GMC donor truck
That's a perfect donor truck.
Because the engine/trans and front sheet metal is removed, the hard part is already done. The crossmember unbolts from the frame. No need to torch anything. If I recall, there are 6 bolts on each side. To make it bolt up in a '63-'66 truck, you will need to drill 2 new holes in your frame and elongate two existing holes so the '76 crossmember will bolt in.
