1964 C10 Fleetside
Hey,
Just picked up this 64' C10 for a smokin deal! I have been looking at this truck for the past couple years just sitting in someones driveway and finally realized that I need to have it. I paid $500 for this beautiful machine and its got a 230ci Inline 6 and 3spd column shift. It wasn't running when I bought it, but about 15 mins of my time once I got it back to the shop I had it purring like a kitten and moving under its own power, stopping was an issue but that's ok as the ground was fairly level, lol. Anyways, keeping in mind with the low purchase price I am hoping to use this truck as a parts getter for the other project I am working on (1968 Impala FB, 327 Auto). So far the plan is to get a "Grand Slam" kit from CPP which will include a front power disc brake conversion, lowering spindles, coils, shocks etc.. I will refreshen the motor with a gasket kit, paint it, change all the hoses, fuel lines, Clean gas tank etc.. I am going to ditch the canopy and the other 230ci Inline 6 /trans that it came with in the box as a spare for some money towards the kit. I am also going to do a power steering conversion. http://www.classicperform.com/Store/...6772GSK-5D.htm What my question is, I'm trying to figure out what height coils I should get with the 2.5" drop spindles? I would like to fit either a 20" Rim/Tire Combo or keep the 15's clean em up a bit and throw on a new set of rubber and some classic hubcaps. I want to be able to actually drive it so I'm not looking to lay the frame on the ground, but still like an nice stance. Any input you guys/gals have would be appreciated! Here are a couple pics of the day I picked her up! |

Nice find! And cheap to boot!! I bet if you chose to, you could sell the topper for as much as you bought the whole truck for!! Good luck and I'll be watching.

That's a hell of a deal on what looks to be a nice truck.
If by chance you change those mirrors out for something else, let me know. I've been trying to pick up a set for my truck but no luck yet. |
