Anyone used these inner fender patch panels?
I'm wondering if anyone has used these inner fender patch panels for 60-66 trucks? They're a little pricey at $70 for the pair but the time saved in making your own might be worth it. Apparently they're 16Ga steel. I'm curious as to how much front to back it covers? Any thoughts?

I fabricated my own patches for that area. Despite having barely welded/fabricated before that, it only took a few hours per side. I don't know that you'll save that much time once you figure cutting & trimming, patching anything not covered and welding all the seals visible on those patches.

The first thing I have to say is be careful. Read here in post #31.
http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...68#post6733568 There is also a thread somewhere in the review section. What I have done for the rust in that area is to cut my patch pieces from an extra inner fender, farther up towards the firewall. You will still have to do some cutting and trimming, but the hard part is already formed.

Re: Anyone used these inner fender patch panels?
I had some extra inner fenders. i will look and see if I still have them and if I do I can cut those pieces off for you and send them to you. Just pay for the shipping. I have a feeling I scrapped them though.

Re: Anyone used these inner fender patch panels?
It's the correct link, has to do with who is selling the inner fender patch pieces: 4-5-6 Chevy Trucks (former member Tony).
