That one has a good rear end that will fit your truck, the rest is scrap iron !!

Ok, well THAT didn't take long, lol.
Tons of Fords with Chevy running gear. Extremely few Chevys with Ford running gear....and for me? That exactly the way it oughta be!

Re: 1998 Eddie Bauer Ford Explorer 5.0L V8
The local wrecking yard owners and tow truck drivers call those things "Exploders" for a reason.
Around here I have never seen one that is two wheel drive or even know if they made any two wheel drive ones. I don't think they ever sold one in this area but by gum they did make two wheel drive EB Explorers http://www.cars.com/ford/explorer/19...=USA80FOS103C0 The 111.5 inch wheelbase is 5.5 inches short though. A 98 and up two wheel drive long bed standard cab ranger has a 117.5 inch wheel base that probably could be shortened 1.5 inches with moving the hole in the spring pads pretty easily and it has A arms rather than the twin I beams that the older trucks had. No one said a guy needed to use the Ford engine or trans either.
