Thanks guys, I'll post a few more pic's of the motor later today.
James, last Friday some guy drove by when I was cleaning my Blazer, he stopped took a few pic's and stated that his nephew had just scored on a stock clean looking 64' burb and just just wanted to flip it, I gave him my # and told him to have him call me, but I haven't heard anything yet, other than that I really haven't come across any clean burb's or panels that tickle my fancy.

Re: Be nice to strangers! 1966' short fleet

wish I could find a complete set up correct for a 66 67 small block up here but no chance of that. I don't know why but I think it is kind of cool. I Know most people want to get this stuff off their truck but it is hard to find and unique. Thanks, for the pics.

Re: Be nice to strangers! 1966' short fleet

THANK YOU for posting those smog pics! Between that and some repop tubes and brackets, i should be able to closely piece one together for my truck!

Unless you were looking to just sell all those parts off there... ;-)

Thanks again!

I believe in California if the vehicle came equipped with SMOG it must remain as equipped to license it even if it would normally fall into the " too old to SMOG" by having it, it must remain. Would want to verify before parting the system then not being able to drive the truck. Rene could always sell the smog stuff and I would happily bring the truck to Oregon

I wish my previous owner had left it together, i brought it home from CA (it's been there since new, black plate and all) and that's about the only thing missing: Smog gear and original AC compressor and brackets.

If this truck was a for sure keeper for me, I would remove all the smog equipment and be more than happy to give it away to anyone here because it is no longer required and an eyesore.

Re: Be nice to strangers! 1966' short fleet

sorry to bug you but would it be possible to get some photos of how this hooks up to the carb and the valve Please? Also does smog require a special carb on the 283/327 motors or is it the same with or without? Rod.

I am having so much fun with it, I'll probably will be holding on to it for a while, I love taking it to shows and parking it next to a completely restored vehicle and watching the crowds circle around my truck and expression on the other vehicle owners face (priceless!) and if I'm really feeling ornery I tell my neighbor to make sure he doesn't scratch my truck.
