I'm wondering if a radio knob of the same style could be modified, since radio's typically have a D shaped shaft. It would just need a set screw to grab the groove in the shaft for when it is pulled.
Thanks LostMy65, I've read through that thread and many others but it appears nobody has ever made an actual replacement. Same applies to the cigarette lighter, they make the entire assembly but nobody offers just the lighter/knob piece. Considering the Thrift Air heaters were standard equipment and the Deluxe was the factory option, its surprising there are more replacement parts for the latter.
