Interesting build, Joe. When you go to balance your driveshafts, try some hose clamps for temporary weight.

Re: zack231's 4x4 CCSB, Project "Learning Experience"
It's a bit of a pain welding this thin sheet metal to 1/4" plate. I had to stack a bunch of tack welds. Ran out of wire before I could finish the drivers side....

Re: zack231's 4x4 CCSB, Project "Learning Experience"
Seats are in finally!
It was a lot if work, but after sitting in them it was worth it. Still need to hook up power to them. I don't know why the pics are loading sideways.... So after we got the seats in, we fired her up and drove around the 'hood. It's alive once again!! Got some little stuff to do and hopefully Zack will be driving it this weekend. We are gonna head out to a local recreational area called Jim Creek (AKA: Knik River Public Use Area) for a shakedown run and possibly some camping. He is super stoked to finally see the reward of all his hard work.

Thanks!
2007-ish Chevy. The rear seat is from a Burb or Tahoe. Not sure if the front is from the same or a truck.

Joe, how is this truck doing for your son? It is great how you got it together.

Re: zack231's 4x4 CCSB, Project "Learning Experience"
It's working great!
He still has small projects to tackle, but he drives it to work and around pretty much everyday. He's working on getting some tunes in it now.

Re: zack231's 4x4 CCSB, Project "Learning Experience"
You know it Mike!
Zack has paid for most of this project and has done the vast majority of the work. I helped him with some stuff or just gave him direction. Mostly I just annoyed him by telling him to think about the issues/problems and figure out a way/solution lol He learned so much up til now and continues to learn. He is working now to figure out electricity and wiring.
