I'll be honest Steve, I don't like that Halibrand wheel near as much. I think the changes necessary for 6 lugs may kill the look. I also think the finish is better on the Intro.

I agree on the finish of the Intro is way better. But I do understand why the 6-slot conversion was made and honestly? The first time I looked at it, the extra kidney bean didn't even occur to me. I think 6-lug holes would ruin the 5-slot look & might be harder to pull off than Pro Performance thinks because it isn't as simple as just an extra hole in the new pattern. I used to be a CNC machine operator/programmer & the extra hole on the 5 ribs would create a real challenge.

A 6-lug version of this wheel would definitely be a 6-spoke style. They would not just drill the 6-lug pattern in the 5-spoke wheel. I agree, it does change the design some, but I think you still get that look that most people are after.
They have never made one for a 6-lug yet, so there is no picture or CAD drawings. They did confirm it can be done and they will do it though. Just a matter of someone ordering it. - Travis |
