Need a suggestion for a gas tank

It's not a truck, it's a tubbed 72 Nova. But, I know there's lots of knowledge here.
I'm looking for a gas tank, not a fuel cell. I first thought I could use a 65 Mustang tank but it's just a little too wide. I've got 28" side-to-side room. I'd like to be able to use the bumper fill neck. I'm sure there's some kind of stock car gas tank that will work, I just can't figure out even how to search for which one.

check out www.yogisinc.com they have a pretty big selection of tanks, plus pretty much the best prices ive found. I got my fuel cell for my truck from them for about half the price of anyone else, and it was top notch.

You can use a fuel cell and put one of these in it.http://www.summitracing.com/search/p...0cell%20filler Then use the stock fill location and a short chunk of hose. Get the benefits of the foam in the cell and the rear facing outlets of a fuel cell.

I forgot to mention, I would rather not use a fuel cell because I want to have a gauge. And I want the tank low enough so that the original license plate fill will work. Plus if I can find a trunk floor type tank I can fab my trunk sheet metal so it fits like a Mustang tank, where the top of the tank is the trunk floor. I'm basically looking for a stock car tank that's 28" or less wide that accepts a license plate fill neck.
I did find this just now that has perfect dimensions, but I'd have to mount it pretty low for fuel to flow into it from the stock location....

Thanks, but I looked up the dimensions which looked perfect, then found out that nobody repops them anymore and they're almost impossible to find used.

I just took out mt 78 blazer tank and it looks like a possible fit except they are a big tank as in gallon size,I think the smallest is 25 gallon.I know they have them in stock.The only other I used was a spun al. dune buggy tank,like a gasser but gigger

How deep can it be? I think a 1955 Chevy car tank is about 24 x 24, and about 9 deep. I would double check but its real close to that.

Thanks, I'll check on both those. I don't think 9" would be too deep. I gotta take a measurement.
Edit: the 78 Blazer is too big 28.75 x 28.1 x 10.75 for the smallest.
But the 55 Chevy car looks like it will work:

Take a 67-69 camaro tank to a capable welder and have them narrow the sides. The. You can use your bumper filler.

I have a 02 camaro tank in my truck and it fits between the rails. But it has a side fill so doubtyou could use the rear fill. Size wise it would probably fit fine and you can get them for about 100 bucks with pump. You might look into the 99-01 camaro tank. It is the same size but metal so you could probably relocate the filler neck. Also found cheap

Bear with me, im not at my photoshop computer. But pull out those rear rails, move them over (blue lines) and weld them back in. now use your stock vehcils tank and you are set. Gauges work, looks stock, and you can put a sump into the bottom for your AN fittings.
