lmc LED taillight install (blinker??)
I purchased the lmc LED taillights for my 61GMC. I already have an Ididit column and planned to replace all the factory wiring. BUt the new taillights only have a brake, and a running light wire. No provision for blinker. How has this been handled by others?
Also, I installed LED front parking lights in the hood, and they are single filament. I want to use them as running lights AND blinkers. It seems the only solution is to run two trailer convertors. Just hoping others could post their experience and solution. |

So does everyone just run A trailer type tail light converter then?

Re: lmc LED taillight install (blinker??)
Maybe I'm missing something. I don't have my original rear harness anymore. Is there something within the flasher circuit that already handled this for me and I just don't know what?
But yes. My LMC taillights only have two wires as you stated |

Re: lmc LED taillight install (blinker??)
the turn sig/switch in your column controls the blinkers

Re: lmc LED taillight install (blinker??)
So is this basically what happens for your trucks then too?
Essentially it seems the signal switch diverts power through the flasher for the bulb in question while keeping the other brake light on. Now, if I can figure out a way to combine the hood mounted parking lights into this figure. |

Re: lmc LED taillight install (blinker??)
Your front "marker" lights are supposed to go out when your headlights are turned on.
Is this what your referring to?

Steve there is a way to use them as running lights. you run a jumper in your light switch. sorry don't remember the process. maybe in the electrical faq's or somebody will chime in.

Re: lmc LED taillight install (blinker??)
EDIT: I had the link below saved on my computer because I planned to use the hood lights as markers when my headlights were on. But now it looks like the links in post #3 are broken. Rats.
See post #3 in the link below. It has 2 different links for different year trucks. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=577029
