Is there any fix to this grille?
well to my discovery this morning, my cat had tipped something over and it just happened to land on my GMC grille. i'm pretty upset at the moment and want it fixed, but i'm not so sure it can be fixed. is there some way i could glue it back together and still have the right curve, then smooth it out with filler on the chrome and have it re-chromed? i'm in shock only because is was a nice 73-74 chrome gmc grille. i really hope someone can steer me in the right direction.

I have used some 2 part epoxies to glue grill pieces back in place, do most of the work from the back side, fill the holes and sand and paint.

Re: Is there any fix to this grille?
I would just look for another one. It would take a lot of time to repair it and the money to replate it wouldn't be worth it. I have repaired minor cracks before and it I something I enjoy doing. If it wasn't chrome I would say give it a try. Looks like it was a really nice grille.

Dang! That is really a shame! I have had my share of stuff broken as well. Just makes you sick when that happens! There are so many things that it is hard to find a safe place to store! Try storing uncracked dash pads!

Re: Is there any fix to this grille?
yeah i know what you mean. Its just one of those things that you wish would have happened to something else, yet it always damages something you value. it makes me a little happier the tailgate band didnt get bent or anything. if that was a chevy grille it probably wouldnt have bothered me near as much as this did.
