How to Further Lower Suburban-- Ratiki 2.0
I'm in need of some solid suspension advice. I built a hat I threw up on this site several years ago. It has air ride and uses CPP pieces: 2&1/2" Drop spindles with disc front brakes, 2" lowering springs, trans drop crossmember and a rear C-notch. The work was done by DB Rods in Central Texas. Here's what I'm going for. I don't care about laying frame. I want a lower front end ride height when I drive. Static or bags, but either way I want to drive much lower. I'd like to leave the rear suspension as is and drop the front end as far as possible while replacing as a few parts as possible. As near as I can figure, replacing the upper and lower control arms with CPP, or Porterbuilt, as well as shocks, coil springs, and a front sway bar is my best bet. Shots enclosed are aired down. I'd like it to drive at a lower height. Any thoughts or links are most appreciated. |

To drive at a lower ride height,... you have to move the front crossmember up in the frame.
I suggest a Porterbuilt dropmember. If the scenerio you described would get the results you wanted,... EVERYONE would be doing it. The lower a-arm pivot points are the bad design of these C10 frames. You have to have some ground clearance.

This is an example of a Level 3 Dropmember "ride height.
