Convert stock rear to 5-lug disc or swap for F-Body rear?

I have 2 different rear-ends from Firebirds. One is an 87 and the other is a 97. Both are 5 lug disc limited-slip. In order to use them on my 66-C10, I will have to cut off all of the various f-body suspension mounts and weld on some perches and a new panhard mount.

Or I could convert the stock rear to 5 lug disc. Which would you recommend?

This is independent of ratios - really just the amount of work.

Convert your rear. You would be going from GM's strongest rear end to GM's weakest rear end.

x3 fix what you have, check out captainfab he can hook you up with all the brackets and parts needed for the swap.

I make 3 different rear disc conversion brackets for the truck 10 and 12 bolts with the 5x5 wheel stud pattern. Links in my sig line \/ \/ \/

Anyone happen to have info on using rear camaro rotors on a truck rear? I have 5 x 4.75" on the front already and I don't want to have different bolt patterns front/rear.

Well, yes - that has to happen regardless since I have 6-lug currently. I'm looking for more specific information about brackets and rotors and also whether the axle flanges will need to be machined with said rotors.
