Column change and wiring

I just picked up a tilt column from a 72 Chevy PU for my 65

My question is, does anyone have experience making that switch?

Both have a moon shaped wire connector on them, are most of the wires going to match up? I am guessing they will be close with the 72 column having more wires since it has the 4 way flasher on it.

I can do the splice after hunting and pecking route if I have to, but it sure would be a lot easier if it was plug and play so to speak.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

Re: Column change and wiring

The wiring colour codes are the same, so just check & see if they match up !
