Door Opening Dimensions - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have kind of an odd request. Does anybody have the door opening dimensions for the 64-66 cabs? I've searched and found some on here for the 67-72 but not the earlier trucks. Long story short, when I got my 64 the corners and rockers were off, so the lower jamb area can move around a little bit. I just want to be sure they're good where I think they need to go based off the door fitment, which is really the main thing, but it'll drive me crazy thinking about it id I don't know the measurement is right.

Ill get a build thread started here in the next few days, just been too busy lately, but trying to get some good work in on it this weekend.

quick specs: 64 short bed fleetside big back window. 6.0 LS, 4l80e, air ride...thats basically it for now. well, there will be a drop member coming in the near future. It wont be over the top crazy custom, but it will definitely not be close to original.

as long as you use the door and get the gaps right you should be ok.

I'm in the middle of doing inner/outer rockers right now. Before I cut the old ones out I measured 51inches from the drip rail to the outer top edge of the rocker panel and got the same measurement front and back like shown in the link jonzcustomshop posted.

before you wles the rockers in place, adjust them with the door/doors on. Its easy to do it by measurements, and the doors not fit right.

Thanks guys. You guys wouldn't happen to have the width would you? Like from the front of the jamb to the back? I'm going to go by the door gaps, but they're aftermarket doors and you know how those go. Sometimes too wide, sometimes too narrow. I know i sound crazy but it's just one of those things that's going to bug me of i dont check it. I just want to make sure they're not crazy different from where they should be. Im closing all the gaps up real tight anyways. Knowing the measurements is mainly for my OCD. Lol I appreciate everyone's input
