Re: New Exterior Lights / LEDs
Well not 100% sure but the rear side markers shouldn't blink with the fronts unless some one has rewired them. I also have the LED's with diamond cut reflectors in the lens.
The camera makes it look amber when it's on but it's red!

Re: New Exterior Lights / LEDs
Bringing this back up to the top... Does anyone know what board vendors sell the deluxe marker lights? I would rather support a board vendor then not, provided the cost isn't out of sorts.. So far I found the United Pacific brand with stainless deluxe trim for $27.95 each...

Re: New Exterior Lights / LEDs
I have been thinking about upgrading to all LEDs, already have the tail lights just not installed yet, and I noticed you said the sidemarkers got hardwired. Are these the ones from LMC? Brothers lists LED sidemarkers that are plug and play although the picture looks like a standard lense. Has anyone gotten these ones yet?

Re: New Exterior Lights / LEDs
mine came from LMC. Even the brothers picture you linked shows wires not a plug. they aren't plug and play. there will be splicing.

Re: New Exterior Lights / LEDs
They are produced by United Pacific. The tail lights have the correct connector but the front and rear SIDE lights do not have connectors. The amber lights on the 68-72 are dual function from the factory but the red rears are not. I believe the front anmber turn lights have the connector, but I havent seen them in person. I heard they will be making some clear 69/70 front LED grill signal lights but they offer the yellow lense ones now.

Re: New Exterior Lights / LEDs
The rear side markers have no reason to blink. Stock rear side markers didn't blink.

Re: New Exterior Lights / LEDs
Here are mine. Brakes, front turn signal's and side markers.Yes I had to swap in the flasher with ground wire to get them to work.
Bought the LED bulbs at O-Riellys.

Re: New Exterior Lights / LEDs
JointTech, would you mind posting a pic of the wires you tapped into up front? I was trying to wire mine into a plug by wiring the running and turn signal wires together but when I do that they don't blink unless the running lights are on and they don't use the brighter leds.

Re: New Exterior Lights / LEDs
I've been thinking about swapping my front signals to the clear lense plug n play led style on my 67. What needs to be done to keep them from hyperflashing? Do I need the 2 prong flashers with the ground wire? Thanks Sorry to bump an old thread, but I didn't think it was necessary to start a new one.

Re: New Exterior Lights / LEDs
A neat one I've been looking at is a "1157 led switchback " if looking on ebay , run about $35 and white when parking light and alternates between proper orange and white when flashing.

Re: New Exterior Lights / LEDs
Yeah a flasher with a ground wire is all you should need
