I love my Olive 1970 C-20 : )
Salutations everyone!!!
It is my humble honor to now be a part of your esteemed community. My name's James and I very recently became the 3rd owner of a 1970 C 20 Chevy Pick Up. I'm really lucky and so happy to have it. Here are the specs as best I know them and some photos. If you have any questions or requests for specific photos not given, it would be my pleasure to do my best to fill you in. I will probably wind up having plenty of questions for everyone myself. 1970 Chevy C-20 Pick Up 350 V 8 4.1 Rear End Auto Trans (Pics of Engine Coming Soon) Pretty Sure the truck has 158,150 miles. Although there is a small chance it could be 58,150. The entire thing is pretty much original aside from small things like a retro stock digital radio and things that get replaced more often naturally. It's in quite good shape. I will detail the things that need work on a later post, perhaps some can point me in the right direction. Is the best place for replacement keys a local locksmith? I only have the original keys that are comically and honestly worn down but I'd rather but no stress on them and I certainly don't want to lose them. Thanks in advance for all the help and it's great to meet everyone!

Welcome to the forum!
Your truck reminds me of our FFA (AG) teacher's truck back in the late 70's. Same color. He loved that truck and I can see why you love yours!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome and kind words folks.
This truck is the nicest thing I've ever owned in my life and I love it so much already it's like we've been together forever. I really look forward to learning about your trucks and getting to know everyone.

Re: I love my Olive 1970 C-20 : )
A couple things I'm looking to get are a glove box (just the interior, none in vehicle). The vehicle has a/c
but it needs a compressor, which is absent entirely as well. I'm not in a hurry for that because of the season, but will be replacing it when it sizzles. Also, I need the black trim on the driver side door on the bottom, it is absent and supposedly was the victim of a automatic car wash. I checked classicparts.com and also saw a 5% discount code, "stovebolt". Anyone have either for sale personally or know a better deal? I'd love to get something distressed a bit for the door trim.

Welcome from the Rockies! You have a real sharp truck!
This site is full of great people , trucks , and ideas. Have a blast making this into YOUR truck and it's already cool! Good luck finding the "right" lower trim. All The Best, Dirk |

Your truck has plenty of character. With all the high option trailer queen's out there, its refreshing to see a white bumper daily driver out there.
Looks great. |

Re: I love my Olive 1970 C-20 : )
Hi again guys. Hope yall are having a fine day. I wanted to post a few more photos of the engine and the parts that need some work. I'm literally about to order the missing side door panel and have the moudlings for the back already in my posession. Also, got some white "Chevorlet" lettering on its way. I don't know how someone lived without that little feature! I will post more shots of the interior and its issues as I clean it. If you can't tell, I'm over the freaking moon about this truck and I am loving every moment I own it and get to share its greatness with others. It's truly a joy!

I talked to a friend about both a kill switch and an alarm today for security. Going to have
it installed ASAP. |
