64 suburban frame question
I'm looking at a '64 gmc burb to buy and I noticed under the hood on the pass side there is an area of the frame that is bent upward. Is this a factory bend for clearance with certain models? This one has had a 350 installed and that bend stands out. Can someone tell me or even post a picture of how that frame should look. I'm new to 60-66 and want to make sure this bend is not due to damage. Thanks!

Re: 64 suburban frame question
Post a pic of it. If it's what I think you are describing it is a factory pressing of the upper lip of the frame rail at about where #3 spark plug would land. Just behind the fuel punp on a V8 engine if you drew a line across and onto the bend.

Re: 64 suburban frame question
You are right it is a factory bend. I found some pictures online that confirmed this. Thanks
