66 3spd stuck in gear?
haven't looked at truck yet but a friend has a 66 with 3 spd and has been converted to floor shift and had worked a couple years but got stuck in 1st. gear she said no experience with a 3spd how can I get unstuck and adjust shifter the linkages are all unhooked I do know that gonna look at this weekend for her if I can

sound to me that the shifter has gotten sloppy. when in first shifting into second, the shifter is not bringing the 1-r lever back to neutral leaving the trans in 1st gear. the 2-3 lever on the trans should still be in neutral. get under the truck and bring the trans back to neutral by adjusting the shift levers on the trans. that should put the shifter alignment back to neutral. then check to see how the shifter mechanism transitions with a 1-2 shift. the shifter should bring the 1-r lever back into neutral and before moving to 2-3 lever to second gear. good luck.

Linkages are off tranny and I can't get it out of gear

You can put a bolt in the hole that the linkage mounts to. Then you should be able to move it with a wrench. Make sure you choke the wheels 1st.
