My 80 stepside

Ive had this truck for about 2 years now. I've mostly done mechanical things to it so far. Its got a rebuilt motor and transmission and we did a lot of brake work to it. Its only gotta 305 in it right now but since its got really low miles i dont want to swap it yet. I just recently installed LED taillights. Im stuck and i dont know what i should do next do you guys have any suggestions? I'm painting it last.

Re: My 80 stepside

I would lose the toolbox in the bed, and lower it a bit.
Nice looking stepper!

Hey Fuzed, welcome to the board. You've got my favourite body style there; step side and 73-80. How much do you drive it a year? I think it looks pretty good as is.

Re: My 80 stepside

I have/had the same truck. I found an older style cab and swapped them out, changed the rear fenders, rims and tires, but, the running gear, etc. is all '80 and this is what I wound up with. I love the 80's model but I couldn't resist this resto-mod thing.
As far as your truck goes I'd keep the tool box, I might lower it a bit but other than that I'd just drive the snot out of it and go to a lot of shows and cruise-ins.
