Chevelle headers

I know some guys with the 67-72's have run full length chevelle headers and had them fit but what about with our trucks? I have a 64 with a 4 speed and I guy in town is selling a pair of full lengths from a 66 chevelle with a sbc, will they fit?

Re: Chevelle headers

I don't think the Chevelle headers will work with the bellhousing crossmember in place. If you had an auto trans or a manual trans with a rear trans crossmember, they would likely work.

Re: Chevelle headers

Would Chevelle headers give you better ground clearance?

Re: Chevelle headers

Yeah from what I've heard they offer better ground clearance but I just liked the idea of not having my pipes hanging below the frame

Re: Chevelle headers

The Chevelle headers will work if you eliminate the bell housing/rear engine crossmember. I'm using a T-350 with a new mount.Name: DSCN1593.JPG
