How much and where to buy a custom tank for my '72?
Alright, one of the first modifications to my '72 C10 has got to be getting the gas tank out of the cab. The fumes annoy me, the rubber around the fill neck leaks and whistles in the wind, I generally don't like being that close to the gas tank anyways and I want to put speakers in the cab (and have nowhere whatsoever to put them for the size and quality I want.
That said, who sells the custom tanks that go between the rear framerails, above where the spare would normally be? How much do they cost? Would it be cheaper to try and find a fuel cell on ebay that fits those dimensions and rig up my own fill neck and mounting? |
