Best Engine stands for longtubes?

Is there a preferred engine stand for long tube headers and an LS motor? I see a lot of people recommending the newer CPP stands but there are other people using the 6-cyl and small block stands. I have the 6-cyl in the truck and a set of small blocks already but not opposed to buying new ones if they will aid in better results.

Re: Best Engine stands for longtubes?

IMO it has more to do with what long tubes, instead of what mounts. Unless your interested in the tubular stands (which completely replace the regular stand style), the 6cyl or 8cyl stands can work. Either can be moved forward/aft to make room as needed. Its not an exact science, as factors like which tranny also effect the clearances.
