What side mirrors to use?
Ok I need some input on this. Which side mirrors do you think look the best on our trucks? I know it depends on the style of your truck so my truck is short wheelbase lowered 3/5 with 20" chrome Equis 5 star. It will be silver with GMC side molding. Let me know what you think.

Re: What side mirrors to use?
I like the stock rectangular mirror on the 3 bolt factory arm. Round heads look cooler but rectangular lets me see more.

Re: What side mirrors to use?
The west coast Jr mirrors seem out of place at first but really grow on you and make it unique. It might be a good idea to check them out.

Re: What side mirrors to use?
just driving, I like the square ones like some above, but if I am towing, I prefer the West coast Jr's.

Re: What side mirrors to use?
I used to think they looked dumb. Now they look more like a proper truck mirror. I dunno, tastes change ..or mature, or something. Having said that, the stock arm and small round head is hard to beat for its maintenance-free simplicity.

Re: What side mirrors to use?
I've looked all over for 5" round convex mirrors. Found some plastic housing ones that look OK for a while, then chip, fade, etc. I went back to stock round, but sure would like to locate a decent 5" round convex mirror if anyone has any suggestions....

Re: What side mirrors to use?
I have a set that I retrofitted to peep arms, I just took them off. If your interested you can have them for the ride to you. PM me if interested. Have pics with them on the truck if you want a look.

Re: What side mirrors to use?
The JR mirrors are great for visibility, and look good to imop....Adjustable out and in as well. But all depends on what ya want...I like them on my c10 cause I like the looks of those mirrors.

Re: What side mirrors to use?
I got some replica chevelle rectangle mirrors from autoplicity.Com for 13.55 each. Same ones they sell on ebay for $50 a pair.
The crappy ones I got from LMC are junk. I broke off the head of mt drivers side one by just bumping into it while I was walking by it. Cheap ass plastic. |

Re: What side mirrors to use?
I like the way my Impala mirrors look, but for visibility the stock arm and round head provided the best I ever found. I tried rectangular mirrors but they vibrated too much to be useful. Never cared for the Jr. West Coast style as they blocked so much forward view.

Re: What side mirrors to use?
I drive my truck every day, use the rectangular mirrors, even turned them the wrong way but you can really see what is behind you.....
started out with them up: http://kieth.smugmug.com/Trucks/66-GMC/i-SjmHrpN ended up with them out: http://kieth.smugmug.com/Trucks/66-GMC/i-fz3HX3p |

Re: What side mirrors to use?
I'm partial to the Jr. west coast style also, great visibility & makes for a good arm/hand rest when your rolling down the road with the window down and your arm out

Re: What side mirrors to use?
I picked up some 63 64 impala mirrors. Don't know if I will use them or not. I needed something to replace the crappy mirriors I have on my truck now that could cover up the hole that is there now.
I want to run the stock ones on my green truck. I like the west coast mirrors but the create to much drag.

Re: What side mirrors to use?
Here is what I am switching to. I found that the round aftermarket mirrors with the mounting posts in the center do not allow for proper adjustment as it relates to the driver- especially on the passenger side. These should help. Just need a coat of ivory paint.
