Rear Shocks for 4" drop

Quick Question, I thought I read on here somewhere if you have more than a 4" drop to use front shocks on the rear, right? Suggestions for shock brand?

Thanks, Andy

Re: Rear Shocks for 4" drop

Take a tape measure and measure it. I have ran Pro Comp 3000s, and now their Toxic line. Good inexpensive shock.

Re: Rear Shocks for 4" drop

Every truck is different but here's my experience. I have 4" drop springs in the back of my 66'. I also read I could use stock front shocks in the rear. I bought a set of stock front shocks and mounted them in the rear. But they did not feel like they had enough upward travel when going over a bump. I ended up going with Monroe 32207 they have more travel. I'm very happy with them.
