I expect to be having this problem soon on my 85 Chevy as I broke the end of a funnel off in the filler and of course it slid down inside .

How are you at Fishing ?
Get a lenght of tie wire , make a hook on the end and see if you can go thru the small hole of funnel and bring it out.
Had it once when we were pulling out a deep well pump and accidently dropped the rope down the 150' well.
Used an electrical fish tape for pulling wire thru conduits and was able to bring the rope up to the top.
That was a good fishing day.
