My "other" wheels
I've lived in for past 5 years. '94 International Chassis, Carpenter Body (I raised the roof 18"), 360DTA (after-cooled turbo) Allison trans...it's a turd on the road It'll top-out 60-65 on a 10 mile stretch of flat highway.
I been going south for the winter (freakin' arthritis), but decided to stick around here this winter to hang-out with my 90 year-old pops, he's still pretty spry, even still drives himself around. These pics were right after paint, so it's dulled a little since then, and the cedar trim has faded to a nice gray. Me & pops crappie fishing last winter in North MS, he stopped by on his way to Florida. I plan on spending all the time I can with him, and we both love to fish.

Re: My "other" wheels
Looks and sounds like you did some serious work on that, do you have any build pics?

Re: My "other" wheels
Sure do Also, it's a '93 (not '94), fooling with too many vehicles recently.
As purchased Had pieces formed to weld into the window pillars once the roof was cut free/raised. Diagonal braced both ends

Re: My "other" wheels
Made new rear corners, front cap, and rear panels as well as extended the back door 18" and filled glass openings
Put a storage box in after cutting-out a large gouge in the side of the body.

Re: My "other" wheels
3 layers of 3/4" polystyrene in walls
Built a jig and made trusses for tray ceiling, added 3.5" fiberglass in ceiling (in addition to the 1" factory insulation in double wall roof/ceiling) Naturally I've left a lot of pics out, but you get the idea Built a wood stove from 100 pound LP cylinder, made oven in top. Ended-up removing it, too hot for the space (250 sq ft) I'm heating. Now I just use 2-1500W electric heaters, plenty warm to zero. Can cool it with a 5,000btu window unit. Interior pics Chest freezer converted to 'fridge duty

Re: My "other" wheels
Composting toilet Rack Salad bowl sink Solar batteries 3000W inverter Solar panels Security cams Built a solar water heater too but drain it in the winter and use a 2.5 gal unit under the sink. My 75gal fresh water tank, and 75gal gray tank are under furniture (inside) so no freezing issues there, no exposed plumbing either. I built it to pretty much handle anything. If there's anything more specific you want to see, let me know, got plenty of pics.
