1964 Paint Questions - Red and White

Hey everyone,

Saw a few threads on paint colors and even found some color charts, but have a couple questions.

My truck started life as a light blue, but have always loved the bright red that was offered in '63-64. I'm having trouble finding the correct paint code, it seems. I have two different ones and maybe they're one in the same but just listed different by the paint manufacturer. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

ALSO! I need the correct white for the roof, bumpers, etc.

AND!! (but wait there's more) Were these trucks EVER offered with white wheels, or were they offered only with body colored wheels?

Thanks for any help, and here's the paint charts I have. If any of you have a red and white C10 with the stock paint colors, please post. I would love some inspiration!

I believe the colors you're looking for are Cardinal Red and Cameo White, sorry wheels are main body color on tu-tone.

Yeah, that's definitely the color combo. Cardinal and Cameo... got it! Great! THANKS!

For the case of the truck I'm doing, I may do the Cameo White wheels, just to tone it down a tad.

Hard to tell from the color chart... (computer screen colors), is the Cameo white a little more of an ivory or bone color? Dirty white?

I'd say off-white, think good vanilla ice cream. White wheels won't tone it down, it will pull your eye. If you don't want body colour wheels, go black. Your eye will be drawn to the caps.

I have thought very seriously about black as well. And I agree. Wasn't sure I was going to run caps or not. Still trying to weigh out all the wheel-tire-cap stuff. Black walls, white walls, if white walls what thickness, caps, no caps, if caps what caps, wheel color if caps, wheel color if white walls, GAH!!! Hahaha!

Factory caps look great if you choose the right combo. 235/75R15 3" white wall w/61-63 caps and 2" SS trim rings

I did black wheels, factory caps, and 67-72 trim rings on mine.

Re: 1964 Paint Questions - Red and White

Thanks for all the info and input, guys!

Can someone please post a two-tone that they KNOW has Cameo White in the mix? I'm wondering how "off-white" the Cameo white is. I fine that "Pure White" often tends to be a bit much, but maybe it's not in this case.

Thanks everyone!

BTTT for a new week

Anyone want to post pics of their C10/C20 that has the Cameo White paint code? Even better if someone post two trucks side by side with Cameo and Pure white!

Funny how well the SEARCH function works.

Needed to find out what colours the white is that goes with two tone Red trucks......

This is a great forum.
