show off your back wall

Ok, so lots of us relocate our tanks or get different seats...and that leaves a big ol' empty space just begging for something cool to be done to it. I got the space, but nothing cool done. Anyone want to show off what they did?

Re: show off your back wall

I fabricated upholstered panels the same as the door panels on mine. Sure did eliminate the empty metal tin can sound of the cab. This is how it looked before the seats were installed:

Re: show off your back wall

That looks good guys. As Mark said, I too am hoping to get rid of the empty metal tin can sound. I did use stick on sound deadener, even on the back wall, which helped. I noticed they have a ready made back wall kit at Stockinteriors.com but I am thinking of making up my own thing with some fiberboard, jute pad, and some material. Thanks for posting. Anybody else?

Re: show off your back wall

Rod doors use to have wrap around piece that can be made from fiber board or the like. I suggested a suitcase with a sub. Low and behold a VW poped up with one and had a VW badge as port cover. Then ran into this Web page..http://caseofbass.com

Re: show off your back wall

Here is a link to an article from Hot Rod magazine that show's how they did the back panel of a 1968 C10. I like how it turned out and I might do this to the back of my 66 when I get to that point.

Thanks for that link. I think even I will be able to pull that off and I'm not very crafty!
