How are they unsafe? I've known trucks with three tanks under the bed plus the cab tank hauling 90+ gallons. As far as used tanks, I've found them easy to find from about $200 to free, its all a matter of looking.
The cleanest and easiest to install are the fender well fill style like Demcos.
side impact damage not much protection. but where do you think i can find some?
