Re: building 1958 chevy suburban

Bags in and panhard tacked in. Cycled it and everything works as it should except for shocks wont mount, lower bag bracket prevents them from bolting up. Justin will be calling you Monday to see if you can move upper mount holes.

Re: building 1958 chevy suburban

Picked up some fleetside bedsides for 40 dollars, going to use them to repair some of the rust and rot on the lower rear body panels.

I don't know about you, but I think you got a pretty good deal on those. They'd be a bit more pricey in my neck of the woods I'm afraid.

I agree, I got lucky, got to love craigslist. They were pretty rough , but the sections I needed were good.

Re: building 1958 chevy suburban

Was finally able to roll it out of the garage and get the full view. I like it but debating on whether or not to Z the front a few inches, still not low enough in the front. ???????

Re: building 1958 chevy suburban

I think that is looks great. Do you plan to drive it that low of just lay it out at shows? I would leave it alone but now would be the time to do it. I'm glad that I could help you make up your mind...he he he

Keep the pics coming.

Good luck

Marc

Re: building 1958 chevy suburban

I'd put in 3/4 inch spacer in the rear and raise the rear up to match the front. It won't be noticeable once she's level. Just my opinion.

You won't notice it in the grass at a GG show. I think it's look great.

Re: building 1958 chevy suburban

the way it is, you won't bottom out if you have an air line/pump/fitting/bag/solenoid/wiring/switch/nipple/ect... failure
if you insist put a 3/4 shim in back
