Help with deluxe 57 heater switch
On my deluxe heater switch for a 57 chevy pu, there are 4 wire connections no counting the light. I'm sure one is for the blower motor and another is for the fuse box, but what about the other 2? Thanks for helping guys.

Re: Help with deluxe 57 heater switch
12V power to the fan switch, hi spd off the switch, lo spd off the switch, light, and maybe a ground? Anybody got a wire diagram handy?

Re: Help with deluxe 57 heater switch
If you're talking about the fan switch, the original application used resistors between two of the "connectors" on the switch. This is a car switch but it shows the resistors.
Low speed routed current through both resistors, mid speed routed current through one resistor, high speed was a direct connection between wires. It's possible that someone intended for a new switch to be used with a blower motor with three windings to provide three speeds without resistors. This is a common strategy with bus and motorhome heaters. |

Re: Help with deluxe 57 heater switch
I tried to add more information but I took too long to edit my post.
The deluxe heater control looks like this: If you have a connection for a light in the heater switch then you probably don't have a deluxe heater. There was a factory heater option that only had a pull switch. All the images I'm finding for that switch show resistors as well but I don't know if it was illuminated. There are aftermarket heaters with rotary knobs. These switches usually have resistors but not always. Does this look like your switch at all? How many wires on your blower motor?
